As you can probably guess from my username, one old show that I really like is the Andy Griffith Show. What I like about it is it's depiction of small town life in the south. If you are looking for something nostalgic, it is not just this show that is of interest, but the type of life that people lived in the 60s, as compared to today. The people were all good friends and neighbors. Every Sunday, the entire town, it seemed, showed up to church in their Sunday best. They were still patriotic. You could see that in stories like the one where they were learning U.S. history, and Andy had to undo some damage he had done by finding a way to get the children interested in learning about America's founding. It is just a good, clean show about small town living, the way it used to be. I would imagine that I am not the only person who wishes we could return to those days.
